Time dependent Attribute for every transaction

Hi, I've seen this topic around a little, but didn't see any definitive answers to my situation so I thought I would try.

I am trying to report InfoCube transactions with the correct Time-Dependent price attribute from 0MATERIAL based on the transaction date 0CALDAY.  I would think this kind of reporting would make sense if a price changes and you want to report on a material/price by date.

1. I do not want to capture the price at runtime and store in Cube because I cannot guarantee that the price will be available in BW at the time of transaction load.

2. I know about Key Date, but that doesn't accomplish what I am looking to do.  It only allows you to report using 1 date.

Is this only way to really accomplish this using a Virtual Key Figure?  Seems like such a common sense reporting feature that SAP would have something for this?

Thanks for any help with this.
