- How did you split the model ? Did you split all the data flow with One DTP per region, one ODS per region, one cube per region ?
We have one DTP per region loading into the same datatargets. The entry layer is a delta w/o filter which updates 3 times a day.
how did you split the model ? Manualy or automatically with a specific tool ? what is the effort to integrate a new region ?
The effort is little to integrate a new region its just coming down to add an additional dtp selection and a processchain for that. We spit it manually.
When a change have to be done on a DTP (change filter for exemple), how do you replicate the change on all the DTP link to all region ?
We have all the filter logic on the entry layer loading all companies together 3 times a day. On the dwh layer we only select the companies in the dtp. We split the data in the cubes by years not by regions.
I think we all want to keep the maintenance as little as possible
