Hi Experts,
We are currently discussing an issue in Migration Project (SAP-ISU) related to BW. After finishing migration, there will be new data available in certain master data tables as well as some existing data would be modified.
Now to replicate all these migrated data in BW, below options are given:
- Delta extract
- Full load
- Delta extract
This requires change document to be present, only then Delta queue would be generated. As EMIGALL tool is being used for migration which does not create change document for migrated data, this option can not be used. (custom program to create change document is avoided)
- Full load
This would take lot of time than expected and this activity can not be made part of cutover, also requires lot of adjustments in source system batch jobs execution. As there are existing records which will be modified, so full extract can not be made limited using number range. We have all primary keys for new and changed data (all list of data which are created/updated). Also master data has change date/time fields updated so it can also be used as a filter.
My question is if there is any quick solution to find a way for this issue and avoid full load. Sorry if this is asked earlier or answered, I couldn't find relevant info due to lack of BW terms knowledge.
