I made as your advice but I am still need to combine the data into single DSO. I transform the data from first DSO (Cost center, Controlling area and Location number) to target DSO (Cost center, Controlling area, Location number, country, region, city). For country, region and city I used read master data in transformation and its working fine in test. Anyhow, when I run the DTP only cost center, controlling area and location number are transferred and other fields empty.

IF you get this type of Error check bad data coming From ECC.
EXAMPLE - VBAP / VBUP Table in ECC has ERDATE ( Created On). This field is important and we are mapped in Sales DSO with Time Character ( Ex Calday etc).
If this Date will come blank or 00/00/0000 than BW transformation time character will not convert in date after will get SYSM: Date 00/00/0000 or 00/01/0000 type error.
In this case correct date in PSA or ECC after load in in BW.
This will help lot...

The transformation seems correct .
if still your data load is not getting loaded properly , please ensure master data of location number is loaded first and attribute change run is performed before loading the DSO

Char1 - > Char1 for cube1
Char1 -> Char2_char1 for cube 2
Char1_nav1 -> Char1_nav1 for cube1
the requirement is to have char1_nav1 mapped for cube2 also. have you ever done such design before ?

I think you are referring to transitive attribute..With this, you also need to add CHAR1 in your CUBE2 so that you can get the attribute of it..
So you will have:
Char1 - > Char1 for cube1
Char1 -> Char2_char1 for cube2
Char1_nav1 -> Char1_nav1 for cube1
Char1_nav1 -> Char1_nav1 for cube2
In CUBE2 transformation, use your Char2 to map to your Char1 then just use READ FROM MASTERDATA..

the main need is to have the char1 values, and its attributes, at the query run time and not the values at loading time.
if I add char1 the cube, there will be a generation of SID when loading and I would have the values at loading time and this is not the requirement.
To give you an idea about the global need, the only items that do not change in the cube are the customer and the material (this is char2, a compounded characteristic that carries char1 as navigation attribute), and char2_nav1 is already managed as transitive attribute, the idea now is to have acces to nav1 attribute dynamically without making them also as navigational attributes of char2.

we have an AS Java stack(BI Java) and an AS abab stack (BI Abap) on separate servers and we run the BI template to intergrade the AS Java with AS Abap. we now want to connect the AS Java stack to an external db, which is mysql. we used NWA following the How to configure UD Connect on the J2EE server for JDBC Access to External Databases guide. Hi All,
We have an issue with a material group which are updated recently in ECC side. BW picked up the latest data and we can see the update material group in the material InfoObject. However the reports still show old data.
We have already activated the InfoObject and also ran the ACR but the issue persists.
What could be the possible reasons?

Hi,
after these material group/department changes from ECC, you need to wait for the latest delta in BW first.
ex: you went live with material group changes today around 8:00 am , you will see them in BW reports as per your data load frequency .
Are you sure you are reporting on material group using navigational attributes? Otherwise you won't get the updates...
Hi Motit,
What you have done is absolutely correct. There can be two chances not reflecting updated material group in BEx report.
Case 1: Your BEx query might be running from Cache memory, just delete cache and re-run your query.
Case 2: If you are physically storing material group at transaction data(InfoCube or DSO) Then changes to master data will not reflect, You have to choose navigational attribute then it should work.
