Re: Transfer BW data to Oracle DB using Open hub

Hi Jharna,

Thanks for your explanation. I now understand what you would like to achieve.

In SAP Help - Open Hub Third Party we can read how to extracting data to a third party tool. Normally it is used for connecting an external ETL tool, e.g. BODS. In SAP Help - Open Hub APIs there are also some APIs for third-party tools mentioned.

Unfortunately I have only experience with BODS as third-party tool. This integration scenario works very well. I can recommend you to reconsider BODS for this purpose.

An alternative scenario could be to use Database Table as Open Hub Destination type. This will make the data available in a database table in a dedicated BW table space. From here you can use an SQL script to fetch the data and write it into an external Oracle database table.

I am afraid that such a scenario can be tricky from a license perspective. I believe that the standard Oracle license for SAP does not allow such a scenario.

Best regards,

Sander
