Hi,

Is there any blank data for this info object?

If ye then try to exclude those blank records while loading and try to reload it.

Thanks,

Bhavin vyas

Hi,

Did you try to activate the info object or try using some other object and check.

Else you can do settings in your DTP to update only valid records and set request to green and check if it loads the data.

It will give you the idea if it is failing due to some invalid records or some other reason.

Thanks,

Rashi

hi dear

for wbs element  we have a conversion exit that actually convert ps_pnp_pnr field  to ps_posid.

which is both wbs element but in different format . so that you have to check your transformation rule

and their data in these fields.

thnks

Hi Marvin,

It might be that the mapping of DataSource fields to InfoObjects in the Transformation is not OK. I advice to check all rules and share screenshots if you are in doubt.

In my opinion the hierarchy framework is quite rigid although greatly enhanced in BW 7.3. You can use 7.0 data staging technology with Transformations and DTPs. In the Transformation there are some new hierarchy rule types and on top of that, you can even write routines. However, in some cases the Business Content (BCT) Characteristics are hard-coded by SAP.

Most of the mapping is done automatically. If you have a look at your PSA data, then you will normally see what you have to do and whether or not to write a tiny routine (e.g. to map to another InfoObject).

There are basically 2 cases to determine the Hierarchy Characteristics:

  • FIELDNAME is available in hierarchy structure (e.g. G/L account number);
  • Only IOBJNM is available in hierarchy structure (e.g. Material Hierarchy).

In the first case, you can use the transformation rule type Derive Hierarchy Characteristic. In the second case, you can use the transformation rule type Hierarchy Split for NODENAME and a simple ABAP coding for the InfoObject. You have to program any replacement of BCT InfoObjects (e.g. 0MATERIAL by RMATERIAL). You can check the PSA data of segment Hierarchy Nodes to determine all BCT InfoObjects to be replaced.

More information can be found in the following blog The new SAP NetWeaver BW 7.30 hierarchy framework. Also you can refer to SAP Help:

Best regards,

Sander

Hi

I was checking the check availability button on DTP and show me that this target is not supported by HANA.

Error 3.jpg

Error 4.jpg

Also this is the transformation.

Hi Marvin,

You can disregard the check button for SAP HANA execution since it is not mandatory to use it. You can just leave the checkbox initial.

You have to be aware that a Hierarchy Transformation consists of various segments. You should check and complete all segments. Many rules will be proposed automatically.

Pay special attention to the segment Hierarchy Node. Here you have to determine which rules are needed. Please refer to the information and SAP Help links which I provided in my previous reply.

Sander

Error after activation DSO missing fields

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with an DSO, When I load the data, I can see ok on the table no active data (finished in 40).

Captura.PNG

But when activated there is a field that disappears in the table finished in 00.

Captura2.PNG

Make an initial charge, so it has nothing to do with that data are crushed ...

I do not know exactly from when it started to happen, but I know that at first he did well and has made an update to Oracle Oracle 12C was before the 11.2.0.3.0. I do not know if this has something to do ...

Hi,

i guess this field (/bic/zcont_par) is getting updated from an end routine? if so, please assign a constant value/map a dummy field to it.

later try to reload data, activate and see

can you explain better? what does mean dummy field to it?

just map any field from source to the target field (which is filled via end routine)..

How to handle deleted records from source system

$

Hi there.

Give me please best practice how to handle delta, when some records are deleted in source system without using full load.

The basic case is:

I have first PSA req with such data:

0REF_DOC_NR0REF_DOC_IT0AMOUNT
DOC001001150
DOC001002200
DOC001003250
DOC002001111
DOC002002222
DOC002003333

I load first request from psa to dso with the same structure (CHA are keys) then to cube.

Then customer delete item002 for doc001 in source system, delta extractor takes just changed doc001, so the second psa is:

0REF_DOC_NR0REF_DOC_IT0AMOUNT
DOC001001500
DOC001003600

I want to update doc1 with new values, delete item 002 and save doc2

my solution is first to load second psa with recordmode 'd' to dso then to cube (it will delete doc1 from cube totally), then load psa directly to cube (it will add two items),

the second solution is to correct psa request: select all docs from psa, append it in startroutine with recordmode 'd' before records in psa and then load it to dso (it will delete all doc1 while activation), then to cube from change log.

the third solution is an abap program that compares 00 and 40 table in DSO, maintain records in 40 table and then load data to cube.

What is best practice to load data, when some records are deleted in source system?

Thank you a lot!

Thank you.

Hi Jonanatan,

I understood that your Question is how to create a variable to pass Executing Tool as input to the variable,Right.

I have doubt ,Is there any table your are maintaining list of Executing tools in BW side.

In that case there might be a chance to create variable to pass  executing tool as input.

Hi Guys,

I'm still using an old 3.x BW system and I'm using the RSCRM_BAPI to download the query result in a .csv file on the application server.

Running the rscrm_bapi immediately it works and I'm able to see the file in ALL11, but I can't schedule it . I tried date/time and event options but when I schedule it , the error "error when scheduling the report (JOB_CLOSE)." appear.

Any  help?

Thank you.

I had exacltly the same issue, with adding lines in end routine and increasing RECORD field like Ninja Yang said worked fine!

Thx!

Hi Surendra,

Currently I don't have any table with the reporting tools but it could be created. We are using BO and BEx reporting tools.

I found how to distinguish between BEx Analyzer and the other reporting tools because during the exit variables debugging the sy-xprog has the value "SAPLSRS_XLS_RFC" and the others the value "SAPLSRSBOLAP_BICS_PROVIDER" but I didn't find how to distinguish between the tools that use BICS.

Do you have any idea?

Best regards,

Jónatan.
